Saburo Takayasu Shihan, 7th dan (front row center), at his dojo in Sydney, in September 2012.

Saburo Takayasu Shihan from Sydney, Australia, will teach two special classes at the Makati Aikido Club on Tuesday, March 19, and on Wednesday, March 20. The special classes shall run from 18:30 - 20:00 hrs on both days.

Takayasu Shihan writes:

"I am happy to share my knowledge of Aikido with you and your students. I succeeded the special training syllabus called "Takemusu Aiki" through Late Saito Sensei, which was taught by Grand Master (O-Sensei) at his private dojo in the town of Iwama during 10 years after the last war. We ( including Late Saito Sensei) believe that this is very important training syllabus in Aikido history and have to preserve for the next generation because according to Late Saito Sensei O-Sensei completed his art of Aikido called " Takemusu Aiki " which incorporates empty hand and weapons (especially sword) combat in the same concept of the movement around 7 years after the last war, although O-Sensei went through many phases of Aikido development himself. At that time Late Saito Sensei saw O-Sensei crying in the joy of his accomplishment of his art and prayed to God vigorously thanking him for his achievement."

Takayasu Shihan will also teach two special classes at the Sacred Heart Aikido Center Cebu (SHACC) the following week.
