Traditional New Year's Eve Practice

The Makati Aikido Club held its New Year's Eve practice on Thursday, December 31, 2009, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at its Makati Sports Club dojo. The tradition dates to 1985, when the club was two months short of its third birthday. All participants were welcome regardless of organizational affiliation; after keiko, participants gathered for a few drinks before rejoining their families for the more conventional Filipino New Year celebration. Over 200 photos of the session were later posted.

Simply show up 15 minutes before any scheduled class and introduce yourself to the instructor or to anyone who appears to know his way around. They will take care of you from that point. That is all.
