Jigsaw Mats Replace PE Foam Tatami

On March 22, 2022, Makati Sports Club management completed repairs on a rotted portion of the dojo floor, damaged by a 2017 drain backup. On March 22 and 27, club volunteers — Ruel Abion, Dam Amaranto, and other members — laid down jigsaw rubber mats on the newly repaired floor, replacing the PE foam that had formed the tatami's core since 2016. The jigsaw material brought the tatami's firmness closer to international aikido surface standards.
