MAC Moves to a New Training Space
January 4 and 6, 2025
On Saturday, January 4, 2025, MAC held its last class in squash court #3 of the Makati (Sports) Club, the space it had called home since March 5, 2007. After this final class — led by Chief Instructor Dam Amaranto — members removed 264 pieces of the club's tatami material and carried them to the new training space, some 20 meters away.
The remaining 35 jigsaw mats were moved on Monday, January 6th. Once these final pieces were installed, the first session in the new location was held, led by club Administrator R.S. Reyes.
The old space, occupied for 18 years, had 88 square meters of tatami area; the new space offers 72 square meters of training surface.
