2014 Seiwa-Kai Visit Cancelled for Dojo Repainting

The Seiwa-Kai group from Tokyo — which had visited MAC every year for close to two decades, en route to a seminar for their students in Davao City — was expected on Saturday, September 20, 2014, led by Tadashi Nishiyama, Makoto Hayashi (Chief Instructor), and Susumu Shoji. The visit was cancelled after Makati Sports Club management scheduled repainting and maintenance work in the aikido training space for September 18–21.
A status report posted that Saturday afternoon noted that new fluorescent bulbs had replaced burnt-out ones, wall painting was nearly complete, and ceiling painting was about to start.
